IBC’s (Intermediate Bulk Container)

Intermediate bulk container (IBC), often referred to as a tote or a bulk bin, is a versatile industrial container used for transporting and storing bulk liquids and granulated substances.

  1. Size: Comes in various sizes, but a standard size is around 1,000 liters (275 gallons).
  2. Design: Cuboid-shape with a pallet-like base for easy stacking and transportation using forklifts or pallet jacks.
  3. Usage: Use in industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and agriculture. They are ideal for transporting liquids and granular materials in bulk.
  4. Features: Stackable (to optimize storage space), top filling ports or valves for easy access, and drainage outlets for efficient emptying.
  5. Handling: Can be transported by road, rail, or sea freight and are compatible with various loading and unloading systems.
  6. Reusable and Recyclable: At the end of their lifecycle, they can be recycled to minimize environmental impact.
  7. Regulations: Depending on the contents they carry, IBCs must comply with regulations regarding material compatibility, hazardous materials handling, and transportation safety standards.
