Four Drum/IBC Spill Pallet

Federal Industries Corporation sold its first brown box in 1945. Since its inception, we have provided innovative design and manufacturing of packaging products for industry. Beginning in 1987, we have established ourselves as a leader in UN package design and testing, developing a specialized line of packages to meet the rigid UN shipping standards. Today our CHEM-TRAN® and VISA-PAX™ shipping systems safely carry hazardous chemicals throughout the world.

A four-drum spill deck is a specialized containment system designed to safely store and manage multiple drums of hazardous liquids.

Design and Construction:
  • Material: Constructed from durable polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) for excellent chemical resistance and structural integrity.
  • Capacity: Specifically designed to accommodate four standard 55-gallon (208-liter) drums horizontally.
  • Sump Capacity: Includes a sump area that exceeds regulatory requirements, typically holding at least 66 gallons (250 liters) of spilled liquid.
  • Modularity: Many models feature modular design, allowing for easy expansion by connecting multiple spill decks to accommodate more drums if needed.
Features:
  • Removable Grates: Equipped with removable grates or decking to facilitate easy access for cleaning and inspection.
  • Low Profile: Designed with a low-profile height to facilitate easy loading and unloading of drums.
  • Forklift Channels: Integrated channels or recesses to accommodate forklifts for easy movement and positioning.
  • Leakproof: Designed to be leakproof to prevent spilled liquids from leaking out and contaminating the surrounding environment.
  • Corrosion Resistance: Resistant to corrosion from chemicals and weather elements, ensuring long-lasting durability.
  • Accessibility: Some models may include ramp options for easier drum loading and unloading.
Usage and Applications:
  • Industrial Settings: Ideal for use in warehouses, factories, and manufacturing facilities where multiple drums of hazardous chemicals or liquids are stored.
  • Environmental Compliance: Helps facilities comply with environmental regulations by providing secondary containment for drums, preventing spills from reaching floors, drains, or soil.
  • Safety: Enhances workplace safety by reducing slip hazards and minimizing exposure to hazardous substances during drum handling and storage.
Benefits:
  • Environmental Protection: Prevents accidental spills from causing environmental contamination and pollution.
  • Cost Efficiency: Reduces cleanup costs associated with spills and avoids potential fines from regulatory non-compliance.
  • Versatility: Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, depending on the specific model’s design and construction materials.
